Privacy Policy - Cut Optimizer
This Privacy Policy explains how Cut Optimizer ("the App") handles information when you use the App. Cut Optimizer is designed to keep your projects and workshop data under your control.
Information You Add
The App may store information you enter, including projects, parts, materials and prices, offcuts, machine settings, cutting progress, and workshop contact details such as a name, phone number, city, and logo. This information is used only to calculate cutting plans and to create cutting maps, labels, estimates, and shopping lists.
Local Storage
Your Cut Optimizer data is stored on your device by default. The App does not require an account with the developer, and the developer does not receive your projects or workshop details.
Optional iCloud Sync
If you enable iCloud sync, your data is stored in your private iCloud database through Apple CloudKit and may be synchronized across devices signed in to your Apple Account. Apple processes this data under its own privacy policy and security practices. You can disable iCloud sync in the App's settings.
Photos
If you add a workshop logo, you choose a single image through the system photo picker. The App does not get access to the rest of your photo library. The selected image is stored with your workshop details and used only in the documents you create.
Notifications
If you start a free trial and allow notifications, the App schedules a local reminder on your device before the trial ends. The reminder is created on the device and no information is sent to the developer.
Exported Documents
PDF documents are created only at your request and leave the App only when you choose a destination through the system sharing interface. You are responsible for protecting documents after sharing them.
Purchases
Subscriptions and purchases are processed by Apple through the App Store. The developer does not receive your payment information. The App checks your purchase status with Apple to unlock Pro features.
Analytics, Advertising, and Tracking
Cut Optimizer does not include third-party advertising or analytics SDKs, does not track you, and does not sell personal data. Apple may provide crash or diagnostic information if you have chosen to share it with developers in your device settings.
Data Retention and Deletion
Data remains on your device until you edit or delete it or remove the App. Data synchronized through iCloud may remain in your private iCloud database until it is removed there.
Children's Privacy
Cut Optimizer is not directed to children under 13. If you believe a child has provided information through the App, please contact us so we can review and assist.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The updated version will be posted on this page with a revised "Last updated" date.
